THere are a lot of movies that I really like...I mean they're great because of the story and special effects. Here's a short list:

1. Independence Day
2. Pearl Harbor
3. Final Destination (all of them)
4. Ocean's 11

Animated Movies:
1. Finding Nemo
2. Ice Age 1 and 2

There are a lot but I can't remember their titles.

I would say that it'll be the Lord of the Ring movies. Its a movie that will rock your socks off the first time through and to say the least, its a blast to watch.

From the top of my head: Janghwa, Hongryeon (A Tale of Two Sisters). Way better than any Hollywood "psychological thriller."

Animation-wise, anything by Hayao Miyazaki.

hmmm... i can't choose my favorite, but favorites: Spirited Away(such a cute story), Lord of the Rings(the end was kind of sad), and pirates of the carribean(im a crazy fan that didn't want to watch it at first because if there's one thing i can't stand it's skeletons that are alive and moving, but i finally got my courage up to watch it. it wasn't scary. it was funny. i went to see the 2nd one 3 times when it came out in theatres). also, i'm not finished watching it yet, but montey python and the holy grail is sooo funny...

i second the motion. i have read the books even before the first movie was released and all i can say is that the film adaptations are the best movie experience you can give to yourself!

Baseketball by Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Funny, pithy and just gross at some points. Awesome

The Last Samurai for me. That movie was incredible. Action scenes, drama, everything was great. Everyone makes fun of Tom Cruise, but he is a great actor, especially in this movie.
