About a couple of days ago I was talking to one of my friends in calls about dragonball in general but mostly about dragonball z. Anyway, he told me that another dragonball series is in the making as of right now and will be released at the end of next year. It's the first that I have heard something like this and I'm a huge dragonball fan. I was just wondering if anyone else has heard the exact samething. I would appreciate if anyone would same anything if it's actually true.

yea I heard about the new dragonball series from someone on another forum, but don't get you hopes up to high its probably a rumor.

I heard about this a while ago. I sure do hope that it is true and that it better be better than GT, cuz that was a horrible anime series, period.

Gt was pretty good they just didnt show it long enough

All I knew is that a movie was being made and that for example Tom Welling had said he wished to play Goku.

I wish they'd make a new series but is shouldn't be like DBGT, that sucked a bit.

FUNimation, VIZ Media, Shueisha, Toei Animation, and Toriyama himself deny any existance of such a series. It is an elaborate fanfiction created from fanart. There's no official announcements even leaning towards the propability of another DB series.

There hasn't been any new DB-esque stuff since 1997, besides the perfect edition manga and box sets. That's it.

Everything else is fan made, and/or a hoax.


Either play on the rumor that a possible live action may be out for the 20th or 25th anniversary of DBZ, which would mean 2006 or 2011, or just give up on DBZ, let's call it a classic, and move on.

I highly doubt this will come out. I had heard something about SSJ5 and stuff but one of my friends told me that they were just rumours and they stopped making the series after some top developer died or something. If this does come out then I'll have to finish watching the GT series (at the dragon part).

i would be dissapointed if they made another db series, becuz i believe it should have ended with DBZ, I didn't really enjoy dbgt at all

Dragonball Gt waz terrible.....like someone said above....it shoud have ended wit DBZ.....if u really think about.....WHO IN THE HELL COULD U MAKE UP TO BE STRONGER THAN GOKU NOW......he's stronger the all the kai's....they would have to take it to a another dimension or alternatr reality for the show to work.....other than dat LOVED DBZ

Dragon Ball GT was not created by the original artist so that's why the story wasn't good . . . and I don't know anything about a new Dragon Ball

GT was created by Toriyama. And, there is no new one. You'd think people would listen and read all the posts.

what fanfiction pics are you talking about? Im pretty sure that Bird Studios, Shueshia, and Toei all took part of DBZ as well as GT.

Toei made all three Dragonball/Z/GT! Both directors, Daisuke Nishio and Osamu Kasai, were apart of DBZ and DBGT. Dragonball had Takao Koyama, instead of Osamu Kasai, though. All three created by Toriyama (and Koei).


And, those fanfiction pics are the ones that started the craze of Dragonball AF. It had SSJ5 Goku, and added more as time progressed, but they've all been proven fake, and fan-drawn.

The last good thing to do with DB, was friggin Majin Buu. DBGT, that was horrible. Dragonball AF or any other new series=BS

Akira Toriyama, the creator of the Dragonball series. Had nothing to do with GT. I also refuse to add a Z, because Toriyama made Dragonball WHOLE. DB and DBZ were never different. They were together in a whole series. Z was never a different thing, like it is here in America. Due to the fact, Z came out first before the original Dragonball.

He had everything to do with GT, read my freaking posts, sometime.

Wikipedia and AnimeNewsNetwork, they both say he was the creator and being apart of it. And, your link only proved he was apart of it. That was some weird interview. It wasn't even an interview, it was just some fan's knowing of Toriyama's birth and early life, anyone can get that info. o_O

If it were basic, this thread would have never been made, people wouldn't ***** over Naruot fillers, and people wouldn't put out false information about Toriyama being or not being apart of GT. ~_^

ok i think i know what hes talking about there was a japanese comic book that was made after the gt seris ended, i think if i can recall goku goes super saiyan 7 and then they get really!!!! O.C with they evolution thing i think there was somthing like super saiyan 8 fusion and crazy stuff i laughed so hard when i saw it they have a lil cover story about it on saiyanisland.com i think thell make it from there if they do continue the seris but i heard that there was slim chance and that the writer probaly would contiue the seris any further but you never know.

They did A DBGT Movie 100 years later with gokus great great grandson. i believe they have talked about doing a series on this one. supposely going back to the story's roots.

I hope they make another series, but its very unlikely they do. DBGT wasn't that good, but the movie allows space for a new series.

Not heard a thing, but try searching on the internet. I hope so too, as long as it's not called Dragonball AF because it's not true (I think.)
