Im about to create my 1st sig using this pic

i was wandering how do i cut master chief (the robotic looking guy) out so i can play him in my sig... i juss want to cut out master chief and not the environment.. thx

Or you could use the Polygonal Lasso Tool.. Its the more pointy shaped one out off the lasso tools.. Select it.. Zoom in.. Click to make a point and go around the image clicking to make a new point each time, then you can right click in selected image and goto "copy via new layer" or "select inverse" and delete.. Just what ever is easier to use for you.

The pen tools better, you can bend the markers to a curve.

edit: imma little lost with the pen tool... i selected the normal pen... im able to make a line, but after i make the line and i try to make another line it doesnt work properly. It like joins the 2 lines and makes a new line depending on the way you move the mouse...

Polygonal lassoo tool will prob be better for you then its simple point and click - zoom in close to make it accurate enough for the curved areas!
