I'd say a mage too...just catch the swordsman on fire and the cowardly bowsman would run away

Seems everyone here is saying mage, but I shall do different. The mage and the swordsmen are on the same team. They kill the bowman and then all of a sudden the mage gets stabbed by teh swordsman. The Swordsman wins.

It depends on a lot of things.
The length of the battle. If it goes on long enough the mage could run out of MP and be fored to use osmose over and over again.
Is the bowman within view? If so then he's gonna die.
What kind of armor and weapons does the swordsman have?

I believe the bowman, most mages take awhile to use the spell in general. A skilled bowman can shoot an arrow quite fast, but he may lose if the opponent are too far away.

If the swordsman and the bowman temporarily team up and if they catch the mage by suprise, then the bowman would win. Otherwise, the mage would definitely win.

From what I've heard rangers have resistences to "Magic", and attack from range... Obviously the ranger would win...

Probably mage. Let's just say you put all three in a room equal distance from each other (maybe 100ft) and let them go. With no special abilities (aka magic resistance or magic repellant armor) the mage would get a spell off and zap both. Of course, there is the possibility that the bowman would be able to get an arrow off at the mage, making it so that the mage (to concentrated on casting to dodge the arrow) blows the other two to pieces with his magic but dies immediatly afterwards from a fatal arrow wound (if the right type of arrow is used and aimed correctly). The swordsman (which is my favorite class unfortuantly) doesn't stand a chance against two range fighters. he may be able to block arrows, but can't block magic. In another situation, like a battlefeild, the mage and bowman wouldn't stand a chance being surrounded and they can only shoot/zap so many enimies at a time, so it's only a matter of time before they get shot/zapped or a swordsman (and if they don't have any protecting them this will happen) will break through to them and cut them down. But in a controlled enviornment, my money is with the mage.

the bowman, but it depends on the battle situations, and if the bowman is in sight. although if you are a bowman you will just stay out of sight and shoot people down with your arrow.

I'd have to say a mage would kick the swordsman's a s s I mean a swordsman only has close range combat and a mage has long distance combat which the mage would kill the swordsman before he even touches him...
