This is a really basic way to color your sigs, but it was used alot back when I first started and it can still be used with some other effects to make an amazing sig.

same effect can also be achieved with hue/saturation with the colorize button checked.

Or for a more interesting colour effect, desaturate the image then create a new layer on top, change blending mode to "hue" and create gradients, play with brushes or whatever to add colour to the image.
