Hello there,
I'm wondering if Naruto will one day get back to its main storyline?
Somehow the last 20 or even 30 episodes got no thrill at all compared to 1-120.
Where are all the great characters like gara and the rest of them? Gone fishing?
You see I got a little dissapointed and I even recommended this anime to friends of mine. So I'm asking the guys of you who read the manga if there is hope and the great action and story from before will continue or if the next 30 eps seem to go on like that? I mean even Naruto himself is becoming dumber and dumber - so much that even his companions are unnerved to be with him on a mission.
So is there hope or should the likes of me quit watching naruto?

well ive seen fillers in other anime, too. but never seen it soooo long. that is why i wanted to know from guys reading the manga if this will stop or move on for the roundabout next 50 eps or so. if so maybe ill just skip them and join in later in a year or so since i cant really remind missing anything important the last eps.

I believe it will be about another 10-15 episodes before the series moves on.
There could be around 3 to 26+ more filler episodes. Who knows.
Download and Read the manga, if you're so upset with the fillers. I believe that most of the fillers which span 3+ episodes are sometimes really creative. It's the one episode ones that sort of make me want to rip my teeth out. Hidden Star Village = awesomeness. Raiga = Even more awesomeness.

I think you guys are right. I could read the manga and then check if the anime still "hangs" from time to time. When it goes on I just can jump in again. Don't misunderstand me I don't hate fillers if they are really well done but for my personal opinion it differs enormously from the regular episodes. All the great characters I really enjoyed are only having a side appearance if lucky and for the story well I wrote that before.

The manga's not really different with not showing many others. We get a new character, and Naruto's there, along with 2-4 others.
Fillers should be ending in either:
5 weeks.

i agree if ur gettin bored of naruto just watch some other series. naruto is not the only anime out there, just another one of the animes ruined by americanization. samurai seven is good.(the anime not the b&w movie)
Well that watching another anime is exactly what I'm doing now. Because of my personal boredom I discovered Bleach which is kicking a** as Naruto did some months ago. I think the story goes in more deeply and more thought-through then naruto. But I still think naruto has got a lot of potential. Maybe Naruto will even learn another technique think it bugs me to see his clonecopy in every episode - who knows. I would wish they make another anime for i.e. Neji or this awesome actual hokage ;-). I like these chars and their story a lot.
no way will it be 31 weeks, cos we already know they said fillers would finish in spring. So I think there is a max of 8 weeks more fillers only. Otherwise its not spring anymore.
The fillers aren't bad. They can be interesting.

Really? The only filler that brought at least a little smile on my face was the noodle making. A filler like that from time to time is really okay but seeing Naruto farting and screwing everything up suckz pretty bad.
But maybe I really missed good fillers. What do you guys think - which fillers are worth watching?

Well to say I "liked" it is certainly exagerated a lot. No I said it made me smile from time to time. What really made me laugh my a** off was that stupid electro-man in one of the episodes or that amazing fish-girl with the dogs ears. But that wasnt supposed to be funny wasnt it?
im not really bored of naruto, i just watch the fillers now just for fun, or just to kill some time..

i don't mind narutos weak techniques as long that he doesn't ruin the missions as he did before and as long that the other characters will appear again. don't misunderstand me it is ok that naruto is weaker then the others as he isn't the typical hero but he shouldn't be portrayed as the dumbest one of all only being able to survive cause the fox doesn't want him to die.
to answer your question: fillers are episodes aside the main plot which do not appear in the manga the animation is based on.

jsut to let u know gaara appears in the second movie and he is sick when he fights the taijutsu user..........and fillers should end by episode 200?
fillers are episodes that they make up jsut to buy time to go back to the story.....im not sure though..
yeah but why do they have to be so extremely bad. Fillers suck in well basically every possible way. I mean the drawings are starting to get really bad quality. the story is going nowhere and although we learn a lot of background info about other characters they just don't seem to be very interesting or cool people do they now, when they are placed in stupid situations. All of these vilians we encounter in the fillers are ultra ultra weak and still Naruto is having trouble with them.

B. because Naruto as dum as that poor boy is is still not mentally chalanged and therefore capable of learning NEW jutsus.

- chidori (naruto got rasengan)
- the speed of lee and some strong taijutsus (naruto same here not same speed but can hit hard too)
- cursed seal (naruto got kyubi)
- katon technique (fire elemant technique for those who dont know what that is)

that's true. There is a big difference between the filler story and the manga story. I watched a few of the old naruto episodes and realised that the main reason the fillers are crap is because there is hardly any emotion i.e. you don't care about the character. For example ni the star village arc, no one cared about the guys mother. That's why it wasn't as good as it could have been, the main reason that there s no emotion is because there are very little flashbacks in the fillres.
I know when Part 1 was on everyone complained about the flashbacks especially during the Naruto V Sasuke fight where 90% of episode was flashback and 10% was fighting for at least 3 episodes in a row. But damdn I wish there was decent flashbacks like them.
