In a nutshell, this is an instant messaging program keeping gamers in mind. Not only is it able to instant message your friends, you can even do it while you're in-game! (Compatible games only so far). Talk to a friend over Xfire while playing some of your favourite games. The little pop-up window showing your friend's message is small enough to minimize the amount of precious screen space you're playing on. You can also take videos and screenshots with Xfire! And a recently added feature, you can broadcast your games LIVE! With a simple interface, this makes Xfire a powerful tool.

Along with it's in-game functionalities, there is the choice to create your own clan. This means you can create a group for people with the same interests as you! And when your friends are playing a game, Xfire notifies you and gives you the chance to join them on the same server!

This is my personal clan. If you take a look, you can see that everyone's gaming hours are added up to show the clan's top played games! Clans can also make events.
