overall a good episode...i am glad to see that fighting has occured.....i do agree however that the title definately spoils the next episode.....

gotta love shows with so much suspense and excitement and its still not over, I was expecting to watch the whole fight. Its a bummer that it ended right in the middle of it.
And the title for next episode is the biggest spoiler I've seen and this was straight from the show. Shikamaru is weaker then I thought, although he's smart and skilled in strageties, he can't even come close to even scratch one of the Askatsuki members. Not only Neji is a genius, he also has the power to do some major damage, I'll pick Neji over Shikamaru anyday of the week. Its cool too see the full power of Asuma and the new ninjustu he did fighting Hidan. Looks like he's doing the Climbing Silver Dude Hidan seems like he's immortal and his weapon helps him monuver around avoiding and blocking any attacks. And he keeps saying that its impossible for him to die that no one can pull it off. Kakuzu is just standing back and watching the whole fight. These Askatsuki members are no joke you need a whole platoon of skilled ful shinobi's to defeat them or you can just call on Naruto or Sasuke to take them. Wonder how Shikamaru is going to survive this one. --------------------  |

it's kinda of amusing to see how much further the manga is along than the anime.. don't get me wrong.. I'm not taking shots at anyone.. i just haven't watched the anime in a long time... and pwnage... the anime is called "Naruto" for a reason...

Damn what an episode. Perfect amount of suspense, build-up, and then killer action. My only regret is that this could have been a sicker fight than Sakura-Sasori, I've had much more fun watching this so far, but it looks like they're not going to take it longer than 2-3 episodes. After an entire summer of Sora, we deserve at least 6-7 eps of Asuma vs Akatsuki, dammit.
It's incredible how strong these guys are. They should make an OVA with an Akatsuki battle royale where all the members of Akatsuki just come back (with Orochimaru) and just pound each other. That's already got my vote for greatest OVA of all time if it happens. I would love to see Orochimaru vs Hidan. And I wonder if the 4th's soul-sealing technique would work on Hidan.... Also, Asuma's last ash/fire technique was SICK. It was a pretty good episode. We saw some new and funny techiques ( ninja becomes a bush or a door, some were even fully invisible), a good measure of fight (Asuma Vs. Akatsuki - but it was over too soon
 ), some more instructions to Naruto and priceless face of Sakura eating her own medicine!!! They really did spoil all the fun for the next episode, but at least I hope they'll redeme with over the top action in it. And I have to agree that I do not know how will Shikamaru survive all this with only strategies and allmost no effective fighting style.
