good episode the fighting was lame that's for sure

at the fire temple, what do those two statues represent? i think i've seen the left one, looks like tengu? what about the one at the right?

I'm usually not too harsh on fillers but I thought this was a complete waste of an hour. The worst part of the ep was Sora's character. It's getting so repetitive. Another angst-ridden kid who was ignored during his childhood until he finds Naruto, who plays the ninja therapist and brings sunshine and joy to Sora's miserable life. Give me a break, this is ridiculous.

The rest of the Fire Temple stuff wasn't horrible. It was kind of fun to learn about the Twelve Guardians. Could have done with more action though. Right now, Naruto is my least favorite character to see fight, because it's always the same. Make a bunch of shadow clones, which the enemy gets rid of in about 5 seconds, try the Rasengan, and if that doesn't work wait for Yamato to show up.

Only part of the episode that was actually fun: Sai trying to comfort Naruto. That was classic.

WoW, this got to be one of the worst fillers yet and I usually don't complain about fillers. There wasn't enough fighting, boring story, a super bad character background (is Naruto going to compare his childhood with everybody he meets now and also Naruto as a kid was a pretty badly drawn). Only thing good about this episode is new jutsu (but it wasn't that cool and there should be more than one new jutsu) and the part where Sai comfronts Naruto. I also hate how they always talk about Sasuke so much.

pretty much narrated what i wanted to say although you might've missed a few
f*cks and bullsh*it. And ya Sai was the only thing good about this wasted hour.

ahh naruto is getting stupid and now bleach is on fillers as well,
it's like they purposely do this.

Any good anime i can watch out there?

ps: i like the intro song though my fav of all of them.

this is a little off topic but, since episode 54 i have not been able to view my downloaded videos. is there a new codec i need? all i get is blurrrrr and audio.

Sai's funny when he tries to comfort Naruto. xD Sai tries so hard but I think Naruto thinks of him as a gay/bi guy o.O poor Sai. Bah ._.

drsven19 - Yeah I think Dattebayo switched codecs around that time. I use the VLC (I think it stands for videolan) player to watch Naruto, it plays just about anything. I'd recommend getting that, it's a simple and easy program to use.

Kronus's comment reminded me--the intro song right now is probably the best I've ever seen in any anime series, it's that good.

Oh, and seeing Asuma fight as a teenage "punk" was pretty sweet, before he had the beard and cigs.

Totaly out of place with the story, no real acton, lame caracters .....

Yeah I thought they went through too much details with the story. But Sora has wind element just like Naruto, will naruto be able to use the wind element just like Sora? At least we know Naruto has great taijustu, he was fighting Sora like he was a rookie. We haven't seen Sai fight in a real battle, he just draws animals and uses them for like a few seconds. Well we just have to wait and see what happens next.

i agree with silver blade that naruto's taijutsu has gotten alot better and the two fight scenes weren't that bad...they could have been worse..but still fillers are fillers so cannot expect much out of them but i feel like i wished they had gotten farther along in the story than they are now after a 1 hr special....o well...gotta wait 2 weeks i assume to find out what happens next.
