The key to killing Hidan was the Blood of Kakuzu which Gaykashi got for him....no way could Shikamaru do that on his own. Shikamaru took down Hidan with team effort you can't give all the credit to Shikamaru.

Yeah and it was smart of Shikamaru to bring Choji and Ino what good that did him....the dude is a loser if it wasn't for Gaykashi the team would have been wiped out a long time go.

They key to kill hidan wasn't the blood of kakuzu. The blood only helped with KAKASHIs battle.

And Kakuzu is a pro akatsuki, with 5 Hearts, which is just like killing 5 people.

Kakashi was good enough to manage to kill him once with the addition of fighting hidan as well.

And he basically SOLOED the duo. If you think about it kakuzu vs kakashi was basically a 5 v 1 plus hidan

He had to actually fight all those random monsters and the 2 akatsuki.

well you are contradicting yourself totally in this post. first you say kakashi was essential to getting the blood and that without him the team would be wiped out.

you dont understand, most of the ninja WOULD get owned, he has 5 freaking hearts. kakashi has already done very well by taking out 1 heart by reading his seals, and also surviving against that many shots of kakuzu. remember he defused the lightning with his raikiri and saved the team. if it was yamato he would be screwed 10 times over with his weakness to his 2 elements. neji, your favourite character would even get owned more shittily since he doesnt use ninjutsu and his opponent has all high level ninjutsu and i dont think i need to elaborate further.

its like saying sandaime was weak since he got owned by orochimaru who was owned by jiraiya + tsunade who were all his students. NO LINK! get it? kakashi has already done very well against such a high level high chakra guy, cut him some slack already

It's also nice to see Naruto actually start thinking. He is just not jumping into battles, he ACTUALLY PLANS. I for one was tired of watching naruto in some of the episodes because he attacked with no plan, just random and he always used the same move(shadow clone).

But at least now he is starting to mix it up a bit and he is becoming quite good.

Still I am hoping to see Gaara[the best], Neji or Rock Lee battle some Akatsuki, I want to see how they have improved.

For those of you that don't know, Silver Blade knows how good Kakashi is, but he's a Gai fanboy and just loves to throw ridiculous statements out there just to get reactions out of people. Don't rise to it. If we ignore him, he might eventually go away *crosses fingers hopefully*

Anyone underestimating Shikamaru is way off. The guy is just cold, planning that far ahead of time, keeping his cool about him despite the fact that he was fighting for revenge. There's a reason he was the 1st to become chuunin, and the only ninja of his age group to be asked to be the Feudal Lord's guard (at least in the anime). He's the best leader out of all the teenage-Konoha ninja.

And he just defeated a S-rank Akatsuki member that no one (not even 2 of the 12 Ninja Guardians) could defeat. If that doesn't count, I don't know what does.


Oh, and I agree with pwnage - the animation in 86 was sick, 87 was good only in parts. To me 86 was one of the best overall eps in the entire series, just nonstop action and great animation.

lol I thought the funniest part was when Kakuzu pinned Kakashi to the ground. Ino pointed and screamed and Chouji went "Kakashi-sensei!" As if Kakashi didn't realize he'd just been pinned to the ground. And after screaming, Ino and Chouji continued to stand and watch. Seriously, make an attempt to fight or just leave.

At least Chouji did try to step up later. Against a non-S-rank ninja, that attack might have actually worked.

btw i think everyone here don't understand what kind of ninja ino is, she is a medical ninja so if anyone remembers what tsunade said to sakura when she was teaching her she said that a medical ninja should avoid fighting at all cost because if she got injured who is going to heal the team and since she is in a 4 man team she should avoid fighting even more and don't forget that she said she isn't good at tijutsu that's why she became a medical ninja.

Shikamaru would have been dead if he didn't have the blood and Gaykashi would be dead too. The Blood was the surprise attack it made Hidan put down his guard assuming it was over so Shikamaru can finish him off. But dude he has no taijustu and only uses one ninjustu technique thats pretty lame, like I said Shikamaru is useless on his own he needs a team.

If Yamato was to fight Kakuzu no doubt Yamato would have a better chance. Look i'm not saying Gaykashi sucks has much as some other shinobi's but he ain't that good either.

The Blood gave shikamaru extra time to do another shadow bind after he already used it to lead him in the woods, and second it dropped Hidan's Guard down so Shikamaru can do whatever attack he wanted, the blood saved his life.

ACTUALLY, Kakashi became a Jounin at 11 Without the sharingan. Which means hes Already Amazingly Naturally talented. Neji may have learnt a jutsu by himself, But he didnt create it (They Spinny thing). Learning Jutsus by urself dosnt make you a better ninja in battle. You just learn fast.

Hell, Naruto learned kage bunshin by himself. Shud he become a jounin for doing so?

Kakashi created Chidori, which is even more impressive than Neji learning how to use an already existing jutsu on his own. Second of all, Itachi has stated a few times that he's impressed how well Kakashi can use Sharingan without being an Uchiha - which implies that no ordinary ninja could grab a Sharingan and start copying jutsu. Itachi doesn't give props often.

By the way, your hero, Rock Lee? Yeah, all his moves are copied from Gai. They're just basic taijutsu moves. Does that make him that much inferior to Neji or Naruto? Not in my opinion. I think Rock is an amazing ninja. Just because he learned his moves from a "master" like Gai doesn't make him any worse a ninja. Jiraiya "learning" Rasengan from the 4th doesn't exactly make him a chump. The 3rd learning the forbidden sealing technique from the 4th doesn't mean the 3rd is not a genius.
