[b]1. No Spamming[/b]
We can't fully stress the importance of this rule within simple words, but we sure can try. We'd like to get the point across that spamming is [color=#CC0000]a ) against the rules [/color] and b ) just plain annoying. Spamming gives some users unfair advantages of leaping through the ranks at a higher speed than those who actually take the time to post something of substance that encourages discussion.
[color=#3333FF]As you all can see now with the new IPB forum boards you cant do that anymore.. now even a double post and all thanks to Vio MOd/admin has a little less to worry[/color]

Spam messages constitute of a post that is either less than seven words or something stupid like "OMG LOL YES!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!1111!!!!!OMGPUPPIES!!1"... or something to that effect. It's stupid, annoying, and who could reply to something like that? Uhuh, yeah. It'll get deleted, and you'll get reprimanded either on the thread or through on-site Private Messaging.

The next sub-topic under spam would be the subject of "spam theads." These threads consist of things like fights, which would be "fish slapping," "bug fights," "snow wars," "pillow fights" and other things. This treads all go to Forum Games.. which you can spam there all you want...because post do not count there

[b]2. Think Before You Post[/b]
There's nothing worse than having to wade through a forum that has topics that should belong to another discussion area. Now, take a look at the board index. See all of those different discussion areas? They're there for a reason. They're there to organize the masses of threads that are created throughout the day (and night), to help make things easier to find. So to put it bluntly, all of your posts do not go into the General Discussion. Think about the subject matter that you are posting and if there is a specific place you can put it to make life easier for the rest of us.

Here are a few example posts and where they should be located:
A ) How old are you? .... General Discussion.
B ) Who is your favorite Naruto character? ... Naruto General.
C ) What kind of music do you lsiten to? ... Music.
D ) Itachi: Age 17+........Naruto Biography

How can you avoid this problem without searching through pages and pages of topics? Use the search feature located at the top menu of every page.

[b]3. No obscenities, excessive swearing, flaming, etc.[/b]
We like to keep this place relatively safe for the young, virgin eyes of children (there are younger users here, believe it or not). To do this, we ask that you don't post obscenities or swear excessively.

A ) Fan drawn pornography, suggestive threads and all that will be closed or even deleted immediately without notification.
B ) Users who are fountains of profanities will be warned, suspended, or possibly even banned. It depends on the severity of the case.
C ) Threads-turned flame wars will not be tolerated. If you're hell-bent on insulting another user, take it over PMs or IMs. We don't want to read it, and we won't. Flame war threads will be dealt with using the appropriate action, whether it is editing/deleting posts, or closing the thread entirely. People who continue to violate this rule will be dealt with depending on how the mods are feeling at that moment. tongue.gif

4. Signatures[/b]
Signatures are cool, aren't they? You've got this cool little space to put witty quotes or show off your new awesome signature. We're cool with that, but within reason.

All members can only have 2 to 3 sigs..Size will be 600 pixels wide by 300 pixels tall (this is the total amount...) any member with more then the limit given... the extra sigs will be taken away....this is to prevent signatures that take up an entire browser window or takes like more then 5 min to load that page....Well members have other options if they would like to put up more sigs.. But after the 3rd sig you must put them into spoiler tags

Signatures cannot be:
A ) GARGANTUAN. Signatures that take up half the page and are a conglomeration of huge images and useless text will not be tolerated. The user will be warned, and if he or she does not comply, the administrators will be called in to delete everything in your signature and leave you a nice little present regarding your incompliance with the rules.
B ) Obscene/graphic/etc. We've been over this.

[b]5. Stealing/ Copying[/b]
We at the Naruto Community love to see what the creativity of our users will bring out. We encourage you to post your creations so we can praise you and/or critique you!

However, we don't like things that are...
A ) Stolen. If you steal something from another artist/author who has worked hard on and you get all the credit, you're going to get it. Stealing is wrong, and stealing someone's hard work is unforgivable. You will only be warned once, and your thread will be deleted along with all that praise you got undeservingly. If you violate the rule again, your thread will be deleted without notice.
*Note: If a user is suspicious of someone stealing graphics/art/fiction/whatever, they should PM a mod or admin with the thread in question and the art that they think was stolen. The mod/admin will deal with the situation from there.
B ) Obscene/graphic/etc.
C ) HUUUUUUUUGE. It's cool to have big stuff, but don't post it in a direct image source on the thread. Use a text link or thumbnail that leads to another server if it's an image, and post your story in chapters if it\'s absolutely humongous.

[b]6. Inappropriate comments[/b] (racist/sexual harrassment, etc)
There is absolutely NO tolerance for this sort of behavior. Racist comments directed at another member or someone/thing else and making stupid sexual remarks to another member is strictly prohibited. We've had problems with this in the past, and we find it stupid, immature and disgraceful. Those who violate this rule will be either warned and kept a close eye on, or temporarily suspended from accessing the entire website. If they persist, well, we'll deal with them in the way we see most fit.

[b]7. Chatspeak[/b]
While we know we can't change the writing of our members, we can certainly hope. *le sigh* This isn't actually a rule, but more of a suggestion out of the concern for convenience of other members: keep chatspeak to a minimum. While it's quick, it's also extremely hard to read. We don't mind if you use "lol," "brb," and other things of that nature, but when you get into making entire paragraphs in nothing but chat or 1337 speak, something's gotta give.

8. Fan Clubs[/b]
Fan clubs are fun, huh? You get to meet people with the same interest and/or obsession that you do, and it's a great time. But what is not a good time is when people get stupid about it. Here are some things that you can NOT do:

A ) Member fan clubs. Absolutely no fanclubs/shrines to a specific member. It\'s lame, and ego-boosting. We don't need that.
B ) Inappropriate stuff. You know the drill: p***, other junk like that.

Pictures: A)Obviously no naked photos of yourself.
B)Place comments in the picture comment thread.

[b]9. Illegal Software "Warez"[/b]
Software cost alot, no? Well that doesn't mean you should steal it. So don't create a thread or post containing links or directions on how to steal software and what have you.

[b]ThE CoNceQuEnSeNs iF mEmbErS ArE FouNd BreaKing The RuLes[/b]
1. First time that you have been caught breaking the rules is a warning on the post. So make sure that you check your PM box if you have been warned.

2. Second time that you have been caught breaking the rules again another warning is pm from a mod to stop breaking the rules.

3. Third time that you have been caught breaking the rules is a suspension from the post for 3 days.

4. The fourth and final caught from breaking the rules is that we will talk to the head mod about banishment.
