It got a rather incredible score on metacritic for such a winded movie (but of course, such perception could have been nulified by the simple fact J Cameron directs it, if you get what I'm trying to say) plus it got just perfect ratings from the top reviewers. Some even compare it to the very first SW 30 years ago. The only issue some noticed is that the film streches a bit near the end, but that's it. To be honest, I didn't expect it to rate above the Dark Knight so I was surprised. I really enjoy this kind of movie, it will be very fun to watch. -------------------- Sorry, but I'd rather leave the stage. |

seen it in 3D on opening night and...........WWWOOOWWWWWW!!!! OMG that movie is one the best i've ever seen and believe me i've seen many. James Cameron takes you on a 2 and half hour journey to Pandora and for that time it's like you are in there. sigh....just wish I was a Na'vi. -------------------- Free Will Is An Illusion! |

Was def not the best movie since LotR but it was good. I saw it in 3D also and the cinematics and special effects were simply incredible. The best part of the whole movie was when he was training, my god it was just so beautiful and engrossing. The story wasn't the best though I must say =/ A bit childish, cliche' and ridiculous especially the final battle. The final battle almost ruined the entire movie for me, it was just stupid =/
Talking to a tree that somehow got all the animals to rise up and beat space age technology with bows, arrows and claws? Just stupid =/ Not to mention the fact that in real life the US Army would get involved and literally destroy the entire planet once that private company got back and told them what happened. Oh, but the music soundtrack is amazing!! James Horner really outdid himself with this movie and you can totally tell it's him by the way the melodies move. You can definitely hear the Titanic theme in there and also A Beautiful Mind (if you've seen those movies). But yeah, the storyline isn't all that original. Lol, it's basically Fern Gully on steroids. But I think the CGI was amazing...rumors say that James Cameron had this idea for Avatar for at least ten years before, but the technology to achieve it wasn't there yet. Overall, a 9 out of 10 for me. I think the soundtrack really did it for me, though. ^^ James Horner is amazing.

ya the story was king weak but the CG was amazing. i say it in imax the training blow me away the colors ever thing was beautiful.

 Finally seen the movie this truly is James Cameron's year. I heard that it will come in three installments, a trilogy if the first one is successful enough, well it certainly is so we await eagerly  Or let it be the block buster we have all waited for in a long while. Thanks James.

I have never seen a movie like this one, i expected less of this movie but was way more than anything i expected, the best movie of all time for me....best movie of all time for me...lol
