Due to recent events in the community, I've really started to question the reason for me staying here. The whole snafoo today (not once, but TWICE; pity if you missed it) got the gears to start turning in my head, moreso than they have been in the back of my mind for quite some time now. I'm doing something incredibly rash, here.

"What in the world is Bat thinking about?" you are most likely asking to yourself. What I'm wondering is... am I really needed here? Seriously. Lord Yu was just appointed moderator earlier today, and thus will be performing my duties at a much faster speed than I could dream of; he always seems to find the threads before I do. And even then, I feel like just another shmoe within this large group of moderators who sit on their asses and don't really do much. Once again, I will repeat: Am I needed?

Secondly, I realized (with the prodding of a friend) that I am not getting anything out of this community. I am not getting any intelligent conversation, nor any nifty facts pertaining to any one of my fandoms. It's all generic talk, spam and keeping kids who should know better "in line." I want something with substance, and so far, I'm not seeing much of it. It seems like I don't come here to really discuss anything in-depth pertaining to the Naruto or anime fandom anymore. All I do is come here to do my job and call the little children's bullshit posts, put a stop on incessant whining, respond to angry PMs or do something about the complaints I get via AIM, and manage to piss off several people in doing so. It's tiresome, annoying, and more trouble than it's worth.

I know some of you are shocked, some of you are heel-clicking with glee, and some of you couldn't be more oblivious than you currently are. I'm off to greener pastures, although I don't know where they may be just yet. I hereby resign from the position of Enforcement Moderator of the Naruto Community, and pass the torch to someone who will be more interested, deticated and perhaps "nicer" than myself.

I'll probably stop in every now and again to see how things are going, but for the most part, don't expect to see me too often on the Naruto Community website. Also, I'm deleting all topics featuring my artwork. If you're desperate to find me, you can figure out how to get in contact (it's not too difficult).

Until then, adieu. It was fun while it lasted.
