I think its going to the end of Naruto, Akatsuki attacking Konoha, Saskuke want too to attack Konoha, Akatsuki just need the nine tailed...

Nah.. there's still wuite a lot of story left... there are still quite a few turns the story could take so don't be oo pessimistic... I say 100-150 XD

I hope it won't end yet. I thought there would be another time-skip before I heard these rumors myself. I was hoping for a ninja world war. I wanted to see how an older Naruto (around 18-19 years old) would cope with such traumatic events in his life and so on... But it is Kishimoto's call. If he wants to end it now, there is nothing we can do. There is still so much potential for the manga to continue. I personally think fans would love another time-skip. The Naruto Manga could then become a trilogy. I'm pretty sure that sale-wise that would be better for their pockets.

trust me the last thing anyone wants is another time skip if kishi takes another 2 year 'breather and we're left with fillers again i'l hunt him down myself

personaly i recon we're going to see a sasuke reconsilliation (even if it is through death) naruto set as hokage quick step promotion from genin to kage because of deaths and the sumit the rikage is calling and we may see something more of kakashi probably a confruntation between him and madara

I see Naruto managing to unite all the Elemental Nations into a true era of Peace thereby surpassing all previous Hokages and Kages alike.. accomplishing something nobody has been able to in the past.. I say this because Naruto ambition is to surpass the Yondaime... I would say that Naruto will eventually rival or surpass him in strength (may be soon even) but the only way he could truly surpass the Yondaime would be to bring peace to the shinobi world using his "mysterious power"... that was afterall the desire of all the past Hokages... It would be cool if Kabuto used the Kuchiyose: Edo Tensei and ummoned the Yondaime on Naruto (after he found out he's his father of course ) while the dialogue would be limited it would still be an amazing fight....

At the very end of the series it's hard to say hat will truly happen this early in the game.. but it is a possibility that Naruto will die... he was always going to have a short life expectancy (Kyuubi's Chakra) so it's not out of the question... of course i don't want him to die but i was thinking about how much of a tear jerker it would be if all the elemental nations came together (or at least a very large number of representatives) to mourn his passing.. all the Kages showing their respects to a man to surpass not only the Hokages but all Kages alike... just a thought.. I had a ,ot of detail when i thought of it so I might write a proper fanfic when time permits...

Harry Potter could have ended in 2-3 books easy too, but the writer saw the opportunity profit she could make in stretching it out and throwing in twists. Kishimoto isn't a fool he knows what he's doing.

In light of that, I think he has extended Tsunade's lifespan by having a hokage summit on the horizon, and the Rikage dispatching his goon squad to hunt down akatsuki~ My instincts tell me they will arrive around the time naruto uses his new ability(that won't be quite finished), and pain dodges/takes it to the face and begins his grand attack.
He'll retreat his bodies, Kakashi is going to smash one, the next gen will smash one or two, someone big might die but no one special in my mind is getting the axe soonish.

Sasuke will show up at the last second see that if he finishes the village off he won't get his proper revenge, Naruto will see him, a few chapters of a chase a dialogue, then we are back at square one. Naruto trying to get powers to change sasuke's mind about the village, and yada yada yada... somewhere in this I'm HOPING someone will get hurt enough to at least inform Naruto who his father is or Naruto's relation to Pain(in that at a point J-man thought they were both the promised child).

Then we could have anything from a time skip more training, a ninja war, anything could happen but I'm almost sure Tsunade is in good shape, kakashi will get a little power up, and The Ninja world is all going to have it's eye on what K-town does next, Madara and the whole truth about that will come to surface for sure since tsunade already doesn't like the elders.

Danzo??? Is he going to be a central character in the coming 100 chapters?

All that to reitterate that Naruto has a long long way to go before we can think of calling it the end for this manga phenom.

there are many other stories that can be included that will make this a long series.
it wont end that easily.

+ animes arn't really the same as books the unfortunate truth is naruto will go on as long as two thing remain constant 1 its popularity (seriesly the amont of animes that get tired of waitting for manga to end and just cut short is astounding) and 2 they still have story line ploted out for it (kishi dosnt -despite occasional appearnces- make it up as he goes along there are plans and routs for eeryone in naruto trust me

mind you the bee samas deciples turning up mid fight that could be good tho its likely to be mid sasuke vs fight since he set off like a chapter or 2 ahead of them, or they could turn up just after the massive attack mabye be part of the naruto resque team if he's caught?

Man, even the manga ends, I will bet you they will make another manga series with naruto grown up(18+)

They will milk the anime+series for aslong as they can. The fans want it to go on(like one piece) I don't see an end even in the next 2-3 years.

Kishi has a storyline already in mind so it won't continue on indefinitely... i don't think he's become a slave to profit yet... sure there could be a spin off series and sure Kishi can still alter his original plot to pad it out.. it'd probably be a next generation thing...

I honestly kind of want it to end with this current story line. Naruto kills Pain. Possibly another ninja war between the Mist, Konoha and Rain villages. Sasuke and Naruto Battle, Naruto wins convinces Sasuke to join him. Together they take out Madara, the end. Of coarse logically Naruto definitely needs another powerup to have a chance against Sasuke, Pain and Madara even with Sagemode. So that's a bit longer. I'm hoping it will end in about a year maybe a bit more. I honestly think Narutos' had its run. To bring another new angle to it could very well ruin it.

Hopefully Kishi will end it while it's still good, so he can go onto another manga (Even if it's Naruto when he is grown up and is Hokage. Can you say Sequel), while he still has some pride left. Instead of dragging his story through the dust to make a few easy bucks. Even if the diehard fans still love it regardless if it's freaking terribad or not.

well as we've all given up disscussing the potential end (yes i knew it was silly but its in the topic title) i recon vio's got a point personaly i see this going further down the road of dragonball then mabye to dragonball z (hey that might be cool think the all stars of the ninja world after a massive collapse of the village system all running about fighting for stuff) personaly i can see at least another 5 to 6 story bits naruto has to go through befor you could call an end to the current run so id say 5 years minimum

year.. but i think that Naruto might actually remain interesting unlike the other long running series I've attemtpted to read.. One Piece, Inu Yasha, Detective Conon etc. all became stale and repetitive rather fast and I just hope that Naruto won't suffer the same fate... the story still has a lot of life in it or me and I can still see future story arcs that won't be dissapointing and yeah.. the collapse of the village system (if Pain/Madaara succeeded) would be freaking awesome... Naruto leading a resistance against them would be even better XD and in the end Naruto brings the world into an era of peace becoming a man who surpassed all Kages...
