Maybe it's because I grew up watching him grow up... or maybe it's the fact that he's just an incredibly gifted actor, but one thing's for sure... I've enjoyed watching everything he's ever worked in. Joshua Jackson has come a long way since his Mighty Ducks days, but even back then it was evident that he was a very promising talent.

Described by fans as either a future George Clooney, or Mel Gibson, both of which are phenomenal comparisons, it's apparent that people have high expectations for Jackson, and with every performance it's easy to see why.

That's why when I heard about him starring in the new series, Fringe, I was interested to find out what the show was all about. The product of J.J. Abrams, the man responsible for Felicity, Alias, and the supernova that is Lost, Fringe, simply put, is the modern day X-Files.

Like the X-Files, Fringe is a show that deals with paranormal activity. That being said, there are a few differences. Where the X-Files centered around aliens, Fringe pertains to advanced scientific experiements that stretch far beyond anything the general population could concieve. Various agencies and corporations are pushing science and technology well beyond ethical proportions without reguard to the consequences of their actions.

With a talented cast featuring the likes of John Noble, Lance Reddick, Australian new-comer Anna Torv, and as previously mentioned, Joshua Jackson, the characters, and their back-stories draw you in instantly. Add to that the very nice visual effects, overtones of quirky humor, and true chemistry between Jackson and Torv, the pilot sets the tone for a new series that could very well be televisions next "it" program. If you haven't seen the pilot episode, I highly recommend doing so.

I don't think the show will be great or at least stay on the air that long... considering how a show on fox has to have huge ratings like over 5 million viewers or it will be canned most of the time.

watched the premier. it was okay. i liked it. showed how much power the FBI's and CIA's has over people in trying what to get what they want.

turns out the partner is evil.. what a twist.
and they use drugs to telecommunicate with each other (only one scene)

show is good. i like the plotline so far.
cant wait for next tuesday =]

I just watched the third episode. Being a long time fan of J.J. Abrams but hating lost i was skeptical about this series but i really like the way its turning out and cant wait for the next episode.

My influence is spreading, mwahahaha

And it does seem like everything relates to Walter.
